In remembrance

Balloons were let out at the Salt Lake memorial today for little Jace. He loved balloons and we know his spirit was there to enjoy them.

Thank you

We are headed to Utah today for the funeral services on Friday. I never thought I would leave Shelton without my husband and son. I am so thankful to family and friends who have helped me and supported me through this past week and a half. I miss Sheldon and Jace so much. I love them and it is the greatest privilege I have ever had to be Jace's mother and Sheldon's wife. I know we can be together again and I am so grateful for my testimony of the gospel. I am so thankful for our Savior and his Resurrection. I am so thankful for the donations that are helping to cover the funeral costs. I am so thankful for every kind word, note, letter, action, done in my behalf. I am so thankful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to be part of a ward family, past and present, who love and care for me.  I am especially grateful to the dive team volunteers who found Jace and Sheldon. You are all my angels carrying me through this tragedy. -Julie

Donations

First off, let me say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all the donations that have come in for Julie.  You guys are truly amazing.  There have been some people who have been asking about how to donate with out going through paypal.  Julie's parents have set up 2 bank accounts where you can donate inside the bank.  They are at Anchor Bank and Wells Fargo.  The account is called the "Jace and Sheldon Donation Fund."  If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email us at JaceAndSheldon@gmail.com.

Again, I thank everyone for their extreme generosity.

After considerable consideration, Julie has decided to proceed forward with the funeral service for Jace and a memorial service for Sheldon.  It will take place in Shelton, WA on Saturday, March 24th.  We do not have times or the address to the church just yet, but we will post it when we know.  For those who are wanting to attend, Shelton is about 65 from the Seattle Airport.

A second funeral, memorial service, and burial will be held on Friday, March 30th in Salt Lake City.  Again, more specific details to come.  We just wanted to let everyone know the dates for those that are planning to attend.

I am astounded by the generosity of the friends and family of Julie.  There have been single donations as high as $500.  As we all know, it is very costly to have a funeral and it is not something we save for so young in our lives.

Thank you for all the love and support that has been shown at this time.  Julie feels all your prayers.

Monday, March 19, 2012

Sadly, the divers have gone home for the day without finding Sheldon.  For now, they have called off the search.  Please continue to keep Julie in your thoughts and prayers.

The funeral for Jace will be held on Saturday in Washington.  He will then be laid to rest in the Salt Lake City area.  As soon as we have details, we will let everyone know.

The support that has been shown for the Olsen and Galler families is overwhelming.  There have been so many kind words and generous donations.

Thank you to all!

Here is the latest update: http://www.masoncountydailynews.com/news/news-page/26306-lake-limerick-boating-tragedy-update
This blog has been created to help family and friends support the Olsen family at this time of grief.  As many of us already know, Sheldon and Jace went for a canoe ride on Saturday March, 17th and never returned.  Little Jace was found yet the search for Sheldon continues.  We will continue to keep the blog updated with any news that we hear on his behalf and inform you of sweet little Jace's funeral plans.

Please read about the Olsen family in the above tab and I encourage you to leave "Love notes" for Julie at this time.  As friends and family, we are her support system and we must do all that we can to help her get through this time in her life.

An account has been set up for those who have been asking how they can donate to help with the costs of the funerals.  Please see the paypal link on the side.  If you have any questions at all, feel free to email us at JaceAndSheldon@gmail.com.

In the meantime, please contiue to pray for Julie and all of the Olsen and Galler families.
